Don’t you love to cast-on new projects? I do, and I’m utterly good at it. That does not mean I don’t like to actually finish projects but the promise of new endeavours to come is always so appealing to me.
When working on a new design, starting to knit the sample is far from being the first step of it. First you have to draw it, knit gauges, and do (a lot of) maths.
Then, and only then, you can cast-on. It’s both a rewards for all the work which have already been done and an exciting moment because I get to see the design coming to life for the first time.
Will the maths work? Will the stitch pattern work together? Will I like it? Will you like it? We will have to wait and see to have all the answers to my questions.
