It all began with a yarn. The always wonderful Hedgehog Fibre Sock bought at Lil Weasel during the yarn & craft show CSF 2015. I knew in an instant what this beautiful yellow yarn will one day become a banana sock. Sometimes you have to work to find the right theme or inspiration for a pattern. Some others inspiration fall upon you without any kind of warning like it happened with Radiative.
Radiative sock
Knitted from the toe up, the Radiative sock features a cable banana leaf pattern on a reverse stockinette background which takes its roots in the toes and dissolve into the ribbing.
On the back of the leg you’ll find a totally different pattern. A liana swirls from the flap up to the ribbing with a cable (mirrored on each sock) in between the two panels.
Knotions, Fall 2016
I had the chance to publish this design into Knotions, an american webzine created by Jody. She is lovely, open to questions, list addict (as am I) and always willing to help you: a rare gem! Thank you Jody, it was a treat to work with you 😘
